“Will” writing goes Digital!

With Reduced costs & hassle free procedures, e-will writing is as easy as the click of a button, thanks to NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure, formerly National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) which has tied up with Mumbai-based Warmond Trustees & Executors, a part of the leading law firm SNG Partners, to offer digital will-writing services.

The companies signed the joint venture & launched an online platform called EzeeWill to offer the service.

EzeeWill Services enables the user to log on to the portal & share the required information in the prescribed format, which will then be accessed by the Warmond expert team. Through this, one can get a digitized Will on email or in a hard copy. Priced at Rs. 4,000 per Will (excluding the registration cost), Ezeewill offers Customized services to everyone for will creation. Will preparation from the traditional route ranges between Rs 25,000 & Rs 1, 00,000 which is definitely a plus point of EzeeWills service.

This initiative will enable individuals to easily prepare hassle free Wills online with help from a legal firm.

Under the NSDL-Warmond collaboration, NSDL which maintains pension accounts of over 70 lakh citizens will manage the online infrastructure to submit the data while the lawyers at Warmond will prepare the Wills.

It also offers community specific services to Hindus, Muslims, Christians & Parsis among others, NSDL e-Governance Chief Executive Gagan Rai said.

Will making has been traditionally associated only with high net worth individuals. But with increasing growth opportunities, lucrative salaries, growth of real estate & better economic conditions, even a middle-class citizen can now accumulate wealth which needs to be taken care of, after his death.

Ezee Will offers customized services to Muslims for whom writing a Will is different among various sects. Treatment of inherited property & self-acquired property is different. Also, local laws have to be evaluated for states like Goa. Warmond-NSDL combined, is the only company that offers people services as per their religious laws.
